Uncode Theme

Uncode is a multi-purpose theme released in November 2015 by Undsgn, an Envato Elite author. The developers describe this template as creative, innovative and user-friendly. Based on visually appealing features and many pre-built templates called ‘concepts’ (demos), Uncode is a great theme to start your amazing website.

Design

The Uncode theme aims to be versatile, with many helpful tools and styles, defining a more visual approach. The template can be used on small screen devices, as the authors built it to be responsive and retina ready. Adaptive images are an interesting feature because this option will make your website detect what device is used, and will automatically re-scale the pictures. Packed with lots of features, every user will enjoy building a website with Uncode.

The theme’s authors have developed over 28 demos, called ‘concepts.’ Designed as one-page layouts, these concepts appear on the website’s front-end. After you decide the type of content you want to import, you can choose between demos as ‘Classic Agency,’ ‘Portfolio Agency,’ ‘Blog Metro,’ ‘Creative Studio,’ ‘Shop Parallax,’  and so on. Each concept has distinct menus and layouts, with the possibility to see live how headers, grids, and other features will look like, and then populate it with your content.

The theme’s header can be displayed horizontally or vertically using the two predefined styles and four types that come with Uncode. The Basic header type can be utilized by a user when he wants the post’s featured image to be automatically adapted and displayed as background. With this option enabled, the title post will appear inside the header. This area can also be styled using the Revolution Slider and Layer Slider premium plugins, which come bundled with the theme and convert the headers into many galleries, slideshows, and carousels header types. Developers gave the possibility to expand the footer in a full width mode, with three columns to show widgets, a copyright area, and additional information.

Sticky menus, social sharing, smooth scroll, masonry grids, portfolio layouts and an infinite number of sidebars are all part of this enjoyable theme experience.

Functionality

Uncode comes with a ‘welcome panel,’ which is well structured with sub-categories. It incorporates the demo install & plugins, Theme Options panel, Options utils, Fonts and a search plugin, called ‘Dave’s WordPress Live Search Options’. The Theme Options divides into many sub-sections with more customization settings available. This panel gathers menus, layouts, typography, sidebars, social networks, a redirect section, a dedicated code, and WooCommerce area.

The multi-purpose template has a particular plugin, called the ‘Uncode Core’ required to work with the Uncode Visual Composer. This plugin brings together the theme’s functionality, while the page builder gives advanced customization and more operational capabilities.

The Uncode developers have created an enhanced version of Visual Composer, with a new layout interface, colored with gray lines. They’ve added additional elements, called ‘modules,’ that give you even more options to be combined. You can create beautiful pages using this drag and drop builder. By default, the page builder functionality is disabled on posts, but you can activate it from the Visual Composer Role Manager tab.

In addition, the theme comes with a custom like-counter, called ‘I recommend this’ plugin. Also, Uncode is compatible with Revolution Slider, Layer Slider, iLightbox, WooCommerce, Contact Form7 and WPML multi language plugins.
