Hey guys! Want to think for all the work you’re doing! I’ve been using IonMag theme for a a Month and it’s AWESOME !
Anyway, i faced a problem wich is: Mega Menu not linking properly to subcategories, i mean the dropdown menu of the parent category is OK, but when you hover over subcategories they do not show any post nor change color when hoovering. Although when click it links to the subcategory and it shows sub-category page.
Here is the website: https://sparkleskills.com/
Your help is crucial for me because the navigation through the website is based on the header menu and the mega menus of each parent category.
Hope hear from you soon, friendly
(Oh yeah, and how can i put my photo in this profile in your forum? I Don’t like faceless people, so i like to add my photo, that looks way friendly)
You can edit your profile in the top right cornet of this page: https://www.screencast.com/t/lonRXk1X
As for the broken functionality, you have lots of js errors in your browser console.
Please disable all plugins except the composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thanks for your awesome help ! speed of reply is facinating. And, I’m using the main theme, moreover i didn’t add any custom code to. I find the theme nearly “perfect”.
However, i disabled plugins and re-activate one by one and found that it was a plugin for minifying html that brokes the functionnality. So i disabled the minifying and mega menu were back to normal display. Problem Solved !
Keep up the good work!
For profile photo, yeah i did look around profile settings, but i didn’t find where to add it. (I clicked even over the current avatar/photo many times in hope of an image downloader or something similar opens, but nothing happens..) i appreciate if you help me fix this too.
For the moment there is no option to set your avatar, only if you use gravatar for your account/email – https://secure.gravatar.com/support/gravatar-locations/
I have a similar problem with my blog. I am using ionMag and Megamenu pages are not linking to the sub categories. As suggested I have disabled all the plugins except for composer, cleared cache, no custom code is used other than Google analytics.
I am still not able to display my posts category wise to the respective pages.
my site link is http://www.shilpitheartist.in
Kindly help and advise.
I have inspected the website and the mega-menu. Clicking on the “Verse” category directs to that respective category page
So that seems to work as intended. There seems to be one post that is displayed when the “Verse” category is hovered
That means that the post is the only one that is included in the “Verse” category. I see the parent category has other posts
There is an issue form what I can see with the thumbnail sizes in the menu, please regenerate the thumbnails
Make sure you are using big enough images to allow the theme to create the necessary thumbnails
Thank you so much for the help. Aligning thumbnails has really helped in better look and feel of the site.
I have another question related to the post categorization. Travel post available on the Home page should also be available as the sticky post in the TRAVEL category.
I have attached Screenshots for reference, Could you please help in resolving this issue.
Secondly, I need to add one more sub-category to the Life and Spirituality mega menu. Please help with the correct steps.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks fella for the help on the issue again, I have a few more questions related to above two questions
1) I understand Travel page displayed under category option, but I meant to display it when the Travel link is clicked on the main menu.
2) Could you please share the plugin link to add categories.
Thanks a ton!
Add your post to that specific category – https://codex.wordpress.org/Writing_Posts
I suggest to read wordpress documentation regarding categories – https://codex.wordpress.org/Manage_Categories_SubPanel
