HI

How could I hide “Post settings” option when writing new articles of all the writers? It’s because my site have many writers and they don’t need to change this setting, but this setting cause confusion to them.

Thanks very much!

Hi,

Post Settings section appears for all users who have the capability to publish posts – https://www.screencast.com/t/eUSjtvNDhttps://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities
If you want to change this, here you can find the code – https://www.screencast.com/t/jMx2CTpgwpF You could add an admin capability – https://www.screencast.com/t/PXiVGhpk6

Thanks!

Hi,

I need help setting it the other way round: I already checked with the documentation, I have neither post settings nor page template settings on individual posts or pages. How can I ENABLE them?

Post Settings section appears for all users who have the capability to publish posts

– I have full admin rights for my user!

Thanks for helping me.

Hi,

Admin level users have access to all the features of the theme. That included post and page settings. By default you should have access to these settings.
Make sure the post settings are enabled in the screen options as a first step

Also deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and clear all caching. Then check if the post settings are displayed.

Thanks

Thank you very much! Deactivating all plugins and reactiving them one after the other to find out which plugin caused the issue. Updating “Widgets on Pages” to its latest version finally solved it – thumbs up 🙂
