2..0.1 update/

hi, I’m being prompted to update to the new version – however when I click on the ‘update new version’ it takes me through to a link to: https://www.wpion.com/free-news-theme/?utm_source=ionMag_update&utm_campaign=v2.0.1&utm_medium=update_system

What’s the next step from here? Usually themes just updates automatically once you click on ‘update theme’ so i’m not sure what to do now.

Thanks so much,
Vicky

I’m also having issues with the infinite load on the website – could this be because I need to update the theme?

Hi,

Please check this guide describing the update methods available
https://www.wpion.com/members/theme-update/
This latest update fixes an activation issue with the theme. There was no infinite loading problem in the previous version, there were no reports in this regard. That could be caused by plugin conflicts or theme modifications.

Thanks

Hi Simon,

Thanks you for sharing this. Managed to update the site. However, the pictures on the infinite load still won’t show? I’ve deactivated and reactivated each individual plugin. Also, the only other modification that was made was adding a facebook like button as I couldn’t do it via the theme – but I don’t think this is causing the problem either? I don’t think it’s a server problem so any ideas?

My site is if that helps: https://www.idealmagazine.co.uk/

Thanks so much, sorry I’m not much of a whizz on this.

Hi,

The thumbnail images that are requested seem to be blocked as they are considered mixed content

If you moved from HTTP to HTTPS this might have not been done properly. You could either contact the hosting provider and explain the situation, they might be able to help you or provide some advice.
Or try a search and replace in the database of the website and replace all instances of http to https in your posts.

Thanks
