This feature removes duplicate posts from the page, and it works with pagination, including the Load More button and Infinite Load.
The offset parameter tells the block to skip an exact number of posts. You should consider that it only skips the posts from the selected category. To use this feature, you need to have the same category on all blocks from the page or page area where you want to eliminate the duplicate posts.
If you don’t use pagination, you can try the Unique Articles function. Read more about it, here.
If for example, you have three blocks and they display posts from the same category, you will notice that they show the same posts.
The solution is to add an offset value, so that block II skips the posts displayed by the first block, and block III jumps over the posts presented by the first two blocks.
In this example you can see that we use the same category (Fashion) and the following parameters:
- Block I – displays four posts and we didn’t add any offset (we left the offset box empty)
- Block II – shows four articles and the offset is 4 (it skips the posts displayed on by the first block)
- Block III – Presents four posts and the offset is 8 (so it skips the 4 + 4 posts shown in the Block I and Block II)
