Each block comes with multiple sorting options, among which you can find the 7 Days Post Sorting option. This filter will allow you to display the most popular posts from the last seven days. The ranking is made based on the views recorded on each post.
To enable it on a block, you have to access the Block Settings panel, and on the ‘Filter’ tab, expand the ‘Sort order’ drop-down and select the ‘Popular (last 7 days)’ sort option. Do not forget to Save settings.
Note: The functionality of this feature depends on its Theme Panel status. Check the instructions presented below to see how you can activate it.
Theme Panel setting
To enable this filter, you have to use the option located in Theme Panel > Block Settings > 7 days post sorting. When you activate it, a new sorting option will be available in the blocks sorting settings.
This option comes with a small performance penalty, and it does not work well with caching plugins. When caching is enabled, the sorting will be an estimation of the popularity in the last seven days.
Note: Please make sure your view posts are active because the sorting option will pick posts that are popular in the last 7 days, ordered by page views. 7 days post sorting will not work, if the page view counter is deactivated.
